This population of discus from Sao Gabriel de Cachoeira shows attributes of both Heckel Discus (Symphysodon heckel) and the Brown Discus (Symphysodon aequifasciatus). This could be a naturally occurring hybrid type. This individual is a first-generation offspring from parents of this collection point.
